Hello! My name is Kirah. I've been pet sitting for friends, neighbors, and relatives since I was about 10 years old. Over the years, I've branched out and have done some pet sitting for mutual friends and acquaintances, as well. I have only ever cared for cats and dogs in my pet sitting experience, however, I'm always happy to meet new people and new pets! I grew up with a variety of pets (cats, dogs, horses, parrots, fish, toads, lizards, hamsters). In addition, I've volunteered at my local humane society and a local stable. I was also a part of a student-led barn co-operative in college. When I was about 12 years old, I volunteered at a local stable where I helped care for horses, goats, and rabbits. I helped with feeding, grooming, and cleaning the animals' enclosures and indoor arena. In college, I was a part of a barn co-operative for about 2 years. I worked an allotted number of hours in the barn each week, feeding and watering the horses, cleaning their stalls and the indoor arena, leading the horses out to pasture, attending an introductory course on equestrian care, taking intermediate riding lessons, and going on the occasional trail ride for fun. I even spent a portion of one of my winter breaks on campus taking care of the horses while most students were visiting home. I definitely consider myself a lover of all animals! If entrusted with your pets, I'll care for them as if they were my own. Services: I am happy to help with feeding, providing play time, taking dogs on walks, cleaning litter boxes/cages, etc. I am also comfortable administering basic medications if necessary and if given proper instruction on how to do so. I have a driver's license and can provide my own transportation. I have previous experience caring for dogs, cats, small rodents, farm animals, horses, fish, and small reptiles. Availability: I work a full-time job but am usually available in the evenings and on weekends. I am also willing to stay overnight in your home with your pets once we have established a connection.
