Hi future employers! My name is Coral A. Figueroa and I currently reside in San Mateo, California. I'm a student at College of San Mateo, studying to be an animal behavior therapist. As you can guess by the title, I LOVE animals. I've always loved to be surrounded by animals, whether it was working with horses on my uncles farm or rescuing stray birds from the side of the road. Since I've been in California, I've been volunteering at a shelter that now moved to Bayview called Family Dog Rescue. They take every type of dog, but the like to take in a lot of special needs dogs (whether it's behavioral issues, paralysis, etc). Because of that, I've gained a lot of experience with dogs that are difficult to work with, that are mouthy or aggressive, or that need a lot of medical care. I actually adopted a dog from the called Booboo, who was born without eyes, and I've found her fairly easy to train. I also have been a cat owner for four years and am super used to cat behavior.I guess the point that I'm trying to make is that I'm not afraid to work with dogs or cats that might be more difficult or shy, because I'm pretty used to it. If you were to hire me, I would treat your dog or cat as if it were my own, spoiling them with special treats or toys, fun baths, taking them for long walks or hanging out in the yard, although of course staying within the comfort and requirements of you, the owner. I'm also very used to medicating dogs and cats, and will make sure they don't miss a single round. My style of disciplining my pets is just a firm no, combined with positive reinforcement when they do something good, so you don't have to worry about me being mean or overly aggressive with your pets if they were to accidentally pee inside or something like that. Overall, I'm very hardworking, responsible and passionate and I think I would be a great fit for your fur family. I look forward to speaking with you!
