I am a 33 year old married female pharmacist taking some time out from the medical world. During my early and late teen years I worked for a veterinarian and learned the basics of emergency animal care as well as basic feeding, washing, playing, engaging, walking, and other pet care practices. As an animal lover myself, I have loved and cared for dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, cows, horses, and donkeys my entire life. I now live with my wonderful husband and loveable angelic boxer, Frazier. During pharmacy school I routinely house and pet sat for several professors as well as the Dean of the Pharmacy school. In several cases I was tasked with administering insulin to cats, medications to dogs, and even with caring for an elderly dog reaching the end of his beautiful life here on Earth. Also, I have cared for a number of domestic and tropical birds and pride myself on my patience and comfort around birds that may frighten others. I am able to clean cages, administer medication, feed, and water birds as well as provide mental stimulus to birds. Furthermore, although I do not hold credentials for training animals, I have trained my own dogs as well as those of friends and clients over the years. I am patient and loving toward all animals and my greatest joy is being surrounded by furry and scaly friends alike.
