Hi, My name is Ashley, and I am looking to expand my work with animals. Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I have cared for dogs, cats, and horses ever since I was young. I have always had pets growing up, and I have had many petsitting jobs on and off over the years. Recently I have decided I want to make petsitting and animal care a more central part of my life and I've been making an effort to take a more professional approach with my experience. Why not do more of what you love? My first official job out of high school was the local horse stables, so I have experience mucking stalls, grooming, exercise, etc. My father also had horses as I was growing up, so I have no fear and I love them greatly! Currently I have been working with PB Soc at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter as a volunteer, so I have experience with all kinds of dogs with different demeanors, and many are under stress. I am not afraid to take on cases with dogs that take longer to warm up to new people, dogs that are high strung and anxious, etc. I have a lot of experience with large dogs that are often wrongfully portrayed as "aggressive" by breed, but I believe it is environment, not breed, that often causes bad behavior in animals. I LOVE pitbulls! I am working on building up my obedience training skills. I have experience with overnight stay and I am more than willing to do so. I am comfortable doing regular walks and exercise, play time, feeding, administering necessary meds, overnight stay, trips to the dog park, cleaning up, etc. I do not have experience in grooming dogs and cats, but I do have experience grooming horses. I do have another job working for a local brewery, so it is preferable to have at least 2 weeks notice if possible so I may make any necessary schedule adjustments to give your fur babies the proper care and attention needed.
