Hello there! My name is Maddie and for as long as I can remember animals have always been very close to my heart. Ever since I was a little girl I've always been trying to convince my parents to let me have pets of my own. They finally caved in when I was around seven and from there on out I've never not had a pet to call my own. My favorite books to check out at the library are how to train dogs and to better understand how we as humans can connect and communicate better with them, since let's face it none of us are Eliza Thorn-berry. (For those who don't know her she's a cartoon character who could speak with any type of animal.) I have worked at two pet stores in the past year and have a dog of my own. While working at these pet stores I've learned how to groom, trim nails, administrate meds, learn more about specific breeds and what they need in order to have a fulfilling, healthy life. I've also fostered puppies and have worked with them in shelters along with older dogs who have anxiety or behavioral issues.
