I'm an
Individual
Why a dog runner? Having two German Shorthair Pointers I learned early on that it’s not just a recommendation that high-energy breeds get regular and vigorous exercise, it’s a must. Without it everything is more difficult; listening, walking, training and so on. Through my experience I have found that with as little as 60-120 minutes of running a week my entire life with an active dog was enhanced immensely. The saying holds true “A tired dog is a well behaved dog.” Sticking to a steady routine is crucial though as your dog will quickly expect their weekly or biweekly run. How the service works: I come to your home, run your dog in your neighborhood. While you're at work or home. I wear a Garmin GPS and email you the session you’ll be able to track overall time, distance, elevation, and speed of run as well as see on a map where we went. I subscribe to reward based positive reinforcement training. I carry all organic, non-gmo, homemade dog treats that I can customize to your dogs dietary restrictions. I bring with me an array of harnesses (as a just in case) but will forward you suggestions of what to order specific to your dog’s size. I myself also wear a harness so I am CONNECTED to your dog AT ALL TIMES. Appointments are blocked off by the hour. Sample Session: 11am to 11:10; walk to go doggy potty, slightly unstructured allow dog to do dog things (may take less time if so we get right to running) 11:10 to 11:50; Structure run 11:50 to 12:00; water then a cool down walk final eliminations so dog doesn’t go back inside with a full bladder. Most dogs take time to build up to 40 minutes, some dogs never get there I go at the dogs pace and will mix in walking to meet the dog’s needs Dog’s pads will take time to build up to a full session of running We Do Not run when the temperature is below 30 or above 85 degrees. For hot summer days, I may move times up so your dog can still get his/her run in before the daytime high. Servicing eastern Monmouth county The pricing breakdown: $60, 1 one-hour session per week $120, 2 one-hour sessions per week $165, 3 one-hour sessions per week www.....com
