Hello All! My name is Zandi and I would love the opportunity to care for your furry (or feathery, scaly, etc.) friends. I have many years experience caring for animals and have a vast knowledge of animal related fields from veterinary to training. Let me tell you a little bit about my background so you may see if I'm a good fit for your pet. I started off caring for animals as a child because I grew up an animal lover and we always had a zoo. From an early age I was determined to become a Veterinarian because I wanted to do everything in my power to help animals. I started off going to college as a Pre-Vet student and am almost finished with my undergraduate for a BA in Animal Science. I started my professional work with animals at a kennel as a jack of all trades. I worked in the Doggy Day Camp where I learned so much more about animal behavior and effective obedience training. I also cared for the dogs that boarded with the facility from routine walks to administering medicine. I helped the groomer's bathe and trim nails as well which I would be willing to do for you and your pet. I then went to work as a Veterinary Assistant at an emergency animal hospital where I gained the knowledge of common illnesses and identifying symptoms of a variety of ailments. After some time as an assistant, I become an Animal Control Officer. Again, I worked directly with an assortment of species in many cases. I am very knowledgeable in regards to Florida State Laws associated with animals and am a certified Officer through the Florida Animal Control Association. I do not currently work for a specific agency at this time as I am focusing more on my Veterinary education which requires a more open schedule.
