Hello my name is Sal I am a graduate of a Veterinary technician program. Currently I am only working part time from home and could use a few extra jobs on the side. My schedule is very flexible. Apart from my education I have a life time of experience both working with animals in jobs such as working in various pet stores as well as vet clinics and keeping them in home. Dogs and cats are my passion, but also birds, fish, ferrets, rodents, reptiles and many other exotics. I have extensive knowledge in the care and well being of all these amazing animals. I have been training dogs for the past 15 years and have experience with over 10 breeds both large and small. I have also kept 4 breeds myself. I practice positive training methods mostly clicker or marker training. I am not a huge fan of prongs or negative training methods however I understand sometimes in certain situations they can be useful. I have also a lot of experience with aggressive dogs, fearful dogs. High prey drive dogs, dogs with extreme dog and animal aggressive (I have kept both) and dogs with separation anxiety disorder. I am very familiar with the muzzle, harness, masks and many other equipment such as dog clothing shirts and jackets. I have practiced and have experience in all sorts of protection training including real personal protection, shutzund, and ring. However, these do not apply to every day dog and are just sports or training conducted for certain reasons with imported working dogs from Europe. I am also a cat lover and have kept all sorts of breeds including Siamese, Bengal, Persians, ragdoll, and Maine coons. I can provide cat sitting and cats will have their own room with toys a scratching post, new litter box and everything they need. No cages! I have a deep passion for other animals as well especially exotics such as birds, ferrets, rodents, reptiles, fish and have kept just about every species but if I get into that it will get way to long. Currently I am looking for anyone who needs dog walking, or house sitting for small animals up to cat size. I have an extra room in my house that has everything a small animal could wish for. Owners can come see and take a look for themselves. I have great references I can also provide from Veterinarians and dog behaviourists which is where I got most of my experience from taking care of cats dogs and small animals in boarding clinics. Furthermore, I have volunteered for many cat rescue programs such as the Toronto cat rescue for example and feral cat trap and release programs. I have also donated thousands in donations and fundraised hundreds through family business for humane societies. For dog walking I will not do any training or take the dog anywhere unless instructed. I am familiar with dog parks and am use to them but will not go unless asked. I will just follow exactly what is asked of me thus not getting involved in any training or bad habit conflicts in the home.
