Pet Sitter in Grimsby
Hi local pet owners! My name is Bianca, I'm 21 and I'd like to take care of your pet. I've owned many pets over the years including guinea pigs, birds and dogs. I currently have a 14 year old Jack Russell Terrier named Skip and I also share a home with my sister's sassy cat. I am a university student at the University of Guelph going into my fourth year. During the summers, I often take my senior dog up the escarpment and it still surprises me how much energy he has in his short legs. I have been volunteering at a wildlife center and have also volunteered at two vet clinics to gain more animal experience as I have interest in applying to vet school.I love animals and I could see no better way of making a little extra pocket change for university than taking care of them. I'm responsible, punctual a hard worker and I'm very careful when following a list of instructions. I have no fear of animals and am very comfortable with them. Also used to getting my hands dirty if need be (everything's a piece of cake when you've dealt with skunk spray before). At the wildlife center I volunteer at, I clean and line cages, feed and give water to many different urban creatures such as skunks, squirrels and possums and formula feed the babies. I'm very attentive in my care and like to get my tasks done before I leave. I also have experience restraining dogs for heartworm test and vaccinations and lifting them on and off the exam table, I'm familiar with specific dog/cat food brands and am also somewhat familiar with small mammal medications. Being a pet owner myself and having shared in the responsibilities of taking care of another living being, I'm empathetic with pet owners and their desire to have the best care for their pet. It makes me think, how would I respond in a situation where someone else was taking care of my dog? And what qualities would I want in someone looking after my dog? Well as corny as this is going to sound, first and foremost a respect and love for animals or at least value in the owner-pet relationship. How could you take care of something you don't even see the point off? That person crossed off my list. Of course, I want someone who is going to be honest with me, someone who I can trust and someone who I know is going to be completely capable of listening to my demands and fulfilling them to the best of their ability. And I am asking you the tall order of placing your trust, or for you to see for yourself, that I am all these things-honest, trustworthy and completely capable of taking care of your fellow furry or feathered family member. I treat your animal like it's my own. If you have any questions or are looking for further information about myself and my services, feel free to message me.
