Hi. My name is Steven Miles. I have a soft spot in my heart for all animals. I am 62 years old and have been taking care of my own pets for as long as I can remember. I have raised and nurtured dogs, cats and even birds. I currently have a home of 6 wonderful cats that I have rescued from shelters. A couple of years ago I started taking care of the feral cats in my neighborhood. I have as many as seven cats that show up from time to time but there are three regulars that have made a home in my back yard. I built a small cat house with a wrap around deck and a gazebo so they could snooze on a lazy summer day or find shelter from the rain. I added an electric heater and heating pads for the winter so they don't have to be cold. I even took them to the humane society to get them a physical and have them spayed so they could have a more enjoyable life without the worries of kittens to take care of. As I have gotten older I realize that you need to do what makes you happy. I am giving up my desk job staring at a computer for what I really enjoy doing. I want to make a difference when it comes to helping people take care of their pets. Animals deserve special attention just as people do. If you need someone who really cares about making an animal healthy and happy then I am the person for you.
