Pet Sitter in Stone Mountain, Georgia

Hi pets and pet owners, My name is Alexia and I'm currently a college student. College is my #1 priority. As I look towards my future, I have now found myself needing extra money to pay for nursing school. However, I need a flexible job to accommodate my changing schedule. So I thought, what better "job" is there for me than playing with pets? I enjoy exercise, so that would be great when I walk or play with my client's dogs. I also tend to choose caring for pets as my first choice when I look for volunteer opportunities. I don't have to worry about trying to be "professional" when I hang out with animals. I feel like I can be the goofy person that I naturally am. I try my best to build relationships with pets by treating them more like friends and family than responsibilities and duties. Pets are very much like people, without jobs and responsibilitities. All they really want and need is a clean and healthy body, sleep, food, love, fun, and a bit of exercise (depending on the pet). That sounds a lot like you and I! I'm really excited to meet a lot of caring pet owners and awesome pets. Pet owners will love that I treat their pets as if they were my own. I always try to think about what a pet needs. I ask myself questions such as, "Have they eaten?" "Have they pooped or peed recently?" "Have they had some fun?" "Have I bonded with them?" As I mentioned, pets are much like people and these are questions that I ask myself when I babysit my nephew, for example. I don't have much experience with caring for pets. I was never allowed to have a dog or cat of my own. However, I do choose to take up pet volunteer opportunities when I do volunteer. For example, I volunteered at a cat adoption center for a summer when I was in high school. Some experience I've had recently is walking my mom's employer's dog. When I did that, it really showed me that people actually care for dogs as a job. I reside in the Stone Mountain area and I ride public transportation (MARTA, Uber, etc.) However, I am willing to travel as far as 15-25 miles away from my area to visit your pet. I am taking swim classes and summer classes this summer, so I am only available on the first half of the day on weekdays (6am-2pm). I have a morning swim class on Saturdays, so am available from 2pm until 10 pm. On Sundays, I am available all day. Thanks so much for considering me.
