Kayleigh is one of the most nurturing, attentive, and responsible pet owners I've ever known. She is comfortable with and skilled at interacting with animals of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. She has accompanied me on walks with large breed dogs from the shelter I work at and showed remarkable handling skills. When it comes to small animals, Kayleigh is incredible. I adopted two chronically ill pet rats and she helped me every step of the way, from socializing them to giving them medical attention. I left them in her care countless times and she treated them like princesses. The care she shows for her own animals is more than admirable. She goes above and beyond for the tiniest of creatures, rescuing neglected hamsters, chopping up peas into tiny pieces for her goldfish, and caring for her aging rabbit. When her animals get sick she provides 24/7 care, administering medicine, monitoring health, and staying up throughout the night to care for them. Kayleigh values all lives, large and small. Pets that many others treat with little value (goldfish, mice, hamsters, rats, etc.) are of equal importance to her as a dog or cat would be. In short, Kayleigh is the true epitome of an animal lover, with dedication like no other.
