Pet Sitter Job in New York, New York

My name is Melanie Asofsky and I am searching for an experienced dog sitter. Preferably one with a Vet Tech background Our dog, Wrinkles, an 8 year old English bulldog, was diagnosed last week with lymphoma and will be starting chemotherapy this week. He is under the care of Dr Camps at AMC. My family travels to Texas every year for Christmas/New Years to be with our family there. We typically have Wrinkles stay with a sitter at their apartment while we are away and he does fine with that. This year, however, with his health issues we are not comfortable doing that. We would prefer to hire a qualified person to stay at our apartment with him (and our cat Snooki who normally stays on her own while we are away with someone just checking in on her regularly), administering meds and making sure he is doing alright while we are away. The timing of our travels with his new health concerns is less than ideal so we are hoping to find some really good hands to leave him in. He doesn’t need 24/7 monitoring but obviously more than we are comfortable leaving with a general dog sitter. We live near Columbia University on Riverside Drive and we are traveling from December 24 – Jan 2.
