Pet Sitter in Jacksonville, Florida

I'm an
Individual
Hey my name is Shawn. I grew up around animals such as cats and dogs and a few exotic pets like scorpions, lizards, turtles crickets and various Pennsylvania wildlife snakes and a wolf in Pa, and love to work with them over the years I offer, hardworking experience caring for many types of animals. I look forward to speaking with you! I specialize in pitbulls of various breeds types such as the American Staffordshire Terrier (which I personally own) considered by many dog group authority through the world to be the most aggressive and dangerous of the breed. There are 5 main types of this general term pitbull. American pitbull Terrier, Staffordshire bull, terrier, American Bulldog, Bull Terrier. And then their ancestors like the French bulldogs and others. Doesn't matter they are all under the broad term pitbulls, all can be loving and sweet with the right up bringing and owners. I apologize I CAN'T and will not care for any and all poodles breeds or mixed ones nothing with "oodle" in them like, goldendoodle, labordoodle etc,! Unless a non poodle who just ate some oodles and noodles for a meal! Lol. No, but on the serious note, Reason being, I was mauled as a kid up in Pennsylvania where I am from, and where my grandmother was a registered poodle breeder and been terrified ever since of the breed! And what people find funny is I am not afraid of stereotype "aggressive" dogs any my wife and I own such dogs. I have personal and business professional references if needed? I am available most of the time right now except a few days out of the year and Thanksgiving week I wouldn't be available. Pictured is Brutus, my dog that I adopted in 2005 from the humane society in Brunswick Ga. he is about 14-16 years old now yes he has a lot of grey now but still in excellent health. Quick story about him Brutus, was going to be put down due to his various behaviors the manager said he was adopted out several times and brought back by adopter for many reasons . He would climb the fence and get on the roof of the shelter for days and they didn't know where he was? I got word of him saw how he was and fought several weeks of pleas to get him I finally was able to adopted him. And over time with love and nutring made him a amazing dog. I was told that within 6 months of owning him I would bring him back and he would then be put down. 6 months passed I brought him back to shelter, manager said I told you! I said wait, watch this, within 5 mins of arriving I showed the shelter his new tricks and said, nope he's coming home with me! Just wanted to prove everyone wrong about Brutus that was about 12 years ago. When possible my wife and I try to volunteer at the local animal shelters working with dogs with behavior issues whether good or bad in nature to help those get a equal chance at a fur ever home Also cannot have pets dropped off or to stay at the house where I live As I live with my wife, and she has a female pit bull mix ( pictured above) she's about 10 years old, and one cannt have 2 domant female pit bulls in the house, if a pet owner has a female dog, Its for everyone safety, if one wanted to come to the house to met our dogs briefly that would be fine. I know there are always situations and circumstances that break the rules! Yes I know that 2 female pit bulls can live together mostly if raised together young I am an animal lover so is everyone else who has pets and sees this ad. Pets are like or more so than ones own kid. As I will come to you. I will NOT put any pet in danger knowning or unknowning. Around the Jacksonville airport area would be ideal but I commute all over Jacksonville area. Yulee, some Orange park, Callahan, Fernandina St.Mary's, Kingsland woodbine , areas also work well! ***************************************************************** Also please understand during hurricane season and times of mandatory evacuation, I will not be able to take care of any customer pets! If you as a person have to evacuate an area so do your pets as they are family! There is NO excuse to leave them behind!! The few times my wife and I had to evacuate during hurricane and flooding in town first thing that went in the car was our dogs and then food and supplies for all of us. Where we stay is limited on space as well and don't have extra supplies to care for other dogs. Thank you for your understanding on this situation.
