"Ruffing it Doggy Care" is a weekend home-away-from-home for small to medium dogs whose family needs to have them lovingly taken care of for short periods of time (weekends during the school year and anytime during the summer). We don't "house," or "kennel" your best friends. Our home is their home and vice-versa, as they freely integrate into our fun family life until they are safely reunited with you. We are a pet-loving family, and our dog-crazy 13 year old daughter dotes on our spoiled guests. We live next to the Capitol Forest on 11 acres where your pets will have plenty of room to play and explore.. Throughout the day, we will feed, play with, cuddle and spoil your dog so he won't miss you so much.. When it's time to snuggle down for the night, your pet won't go into an impersonal, lonely kennel, but will bunk down in our home wherever he or she wishes. If your pet is used to sleeping with you, our daughter would love nothing more than to cuddle with your pooch at night too. We limit our guests to no more than three on any given night and although we love big dogs too, our doggy home-away-from-home is reserved for small to medium dogs only, So don't worry, your pet will get plenty of personalized attention. It seems it is always "play time" for the lucky guests at "Ruffing It Doggy Care.." We love to run around the yard, take walks in the pleasant, safe neighborhood, and play games like Frisbee and football. If weather permits, we can always enjoy leashed strolls along the trails of the Capitol Forest which we conveniently access via our backyard. There will also be plenty of down time, and our guests will have the run of the house to lounge and relax wherever they are comfortable. Our family loves animals, and we're ready to love yours! We know the anxiety that families feel when they travel and must make arrangements for their beloved pets. Although we know we can never replace you when it comes to the heart of your dog, we do think that we can significantly ease the separation anxiety for both of you by providing a loving, safe, fun, and stimulating environment where you can confidently leave your dog.
