I was raised around show horses, and at the age of 8, I went to work for the family veterinarian twice a week. This lasted for one year, until my family moved. Then I began hiring myself out as the neighborhood dog walker, cat sitter, and so forth in a neighborhood full of navy officers often deployed. As a teenager, I walked seeing eye dogs at Seeing Eye in New Jersey. This past year, I have taken care of 2 cats and 4 dogs, 3 of which were over the age of 18, one of which had lymphoma, and one of the cats which is still feral. However, it is worth the effort. I love animals, and I always give them the greatest love and care.
