About The Job: Hello my name is Nando! I am seeking a pet sitter available in Madison, Wisconsin around the capitol square area, who is willing to take on a unique case. My pup is a rescue from Puerto Rico, who I met doing work down there last year after the hurricane. He was born 3 weeks after Hurricane Maria and after an adoption fell through a year into his life, he sadly spent a year on a chain due to financial and emotional strain on his previous family from Maria. Since I’ve left, I spent almost a year trying to adopt my baby boy & finally he’s home with us. He’s been in the states all of 2 weeks & is out of his element. He’s never been inside a house before me, or to a park, or had positive interactions with other animals. He’s had to fend for himself, sat out during storms and never ate. unfortunately, I’ve taken all the time I can off work to spent time with my baby; however, my partner is in school and is home randomly throughout the day. Jr. is an amazing dog, extremely well behaved. He doesn’t bark, he’s a happy, excited nibbler which we’re working on and his favorite toy is his stuffy & any tennis ball to every exist. He’s a very sleepy puppy & we believe he’s just coming off of a deep depression and adjusting still. He’s not accustomed to the states yet, so we keep walks routine & don’t differ. He’s very comfortable with his routine. He’s learned to walk on a leach very well & responds really well to treats. He’s bilingual, but responds mostly to Spanish commands, so knowing them is crucial to him listening and feeling comfortable. His eating is irregular, so we won’t stress it much, again, adjusting. Jr. has a sad background, but somehow managed to still be the happiest, most loving pup. Most of the times he’s just down to cuddle - he doesn’t really do much else. Just looking for someone that’s soft and understands how Maria affected us. He’s really low maintenance and truly just needs a really loving individual who can keep him company while I’m gone at work & my partner is at school. I hope to connect with a passionate individual who has frequent availability, preferably M, T, Th, Fri Services And Training: Our family would benefit from walks, play/cuddle time & the occasional feeding. Ideally, you are willing to travel & don’t mind spending time outdoors because Jr. loves his walks!
