Hi, my name is Kassi and I’m 26 years old. I grew up on an acreage surrounded by animals. I’ve never had less than 3 dogs at a time, and have always had at least one cat for good measure! I’ve had the responsibility of taking care of my pets since I can remember. I have experience with dogs and cats, of course, but am not limited to them. I currently own a parrot and 3 dogs, and have had or taken care of many pets growing up such as sugar gliders, hedgehogs, ferrets, gerbils, guinea pigs, fish, birds (including parrots), hamsters, goats, sheep, chickens, horses, llamas, alpacas, donkeys, and i have some reptile experience as well. I love animals of any sort and would love to help you keep yours happy and safe while you're away! I’ve worked in dog and cat boarding kennels/daycares, a pet grooming assistant, and a veterinary kennel attendant in the past. Some of my duties included feeding (specialized diet for each dog) and watering, walking, loving on, clean up after, administering any necessary medications and grooming the pups in my care each day. At the doggy daycare I was responsible for one pack at a time consisting of 10-25 dogs off leash in an enclosed area. I ensured all dogs were getting along, all were healthy, happy, and loved. I would take lots of pictures for owners, ensure each animal got attention, picked up poop, brushed out all dogs at the end of the day. I ensured everyone recieved adequate breaks and kennel time for seniors, puppies, and special needs dogs (breeds prone to overheating/timid/overexcited). I always made sure there was plenty of fresh water, shade, down time, and play time. While I was a grooming assistant I worked hands on with dogs and cats everyday. I bathed, dried, clipped nails, cleaned ears, brushed teeth, and loved on dogs all day. I love working with animals and wouldn’t be happy doing anything else. I have experience with special needs pets, diet restrictions, administering medication, brushing, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, bathing, nail trimming, dog walking. I’ve taken courses on dog and cat behaviour and recognize how they are feeling and act accordingly. I have also taken a pet safety courses. I am a gentle, caring, trustworthy and reliable person. I am dedicated to animals and have many references to support my hard work. I would love to meet you and your fur babies! I am currently attending online school and have maximum flexibility. I am able to take care of your pets any day or time if given some notice! I am on top of keeping my caledner up to date. I will be working in your home. I treat all of my clients home with respect and care. Whether I am visiting your pets or house sitting I will keep the place just as tidy as it was left. I am double vaccinated and still wear masks in indoor public areas. I will provide pictures and/or videos with my text updates and happy to FaceTime to show you your pets at any time!
