Hello! My name is Melanie and I am an avid animal lover and caregiver for all types of four-legged friends! I am currently looking for a rewarding summer job where I can help animals and people alike! A little bit about me: Being born and raised in Austin, I was able to grow up in a very animal-oriented culture, allowing me to be able to care for a variety of animals, from the furry, to slimey, to the creepy crawlies! I've also been fortunate enough to have my own animals who have grown to be irreplacable parts for the family. I have Monty, a 16yr old orange tabby cat, Tinker, a 12yr old black shorthair cat, and Delilah, a 7yr old Basset Hound (not to mention the 2 gerbils, Cookie and Honey!) Qualifications: In addition to caring for my own animals over the years, I have extensive experience caring for other peoples' pets. One of my first jobs when I was a kid was pet-sitting and house-sitting for my neighbors and friends of my parents. I have cared for more challenging animals who have separation anxiety, housebreaking issues, health problems which require medication, and animals that overall, just need more patience and care.
