Pet Sitter in Seminole, Florida

I'm an
Individual
Do you need a pet sitter, but have a pet that either has special medical needs, is extra shy or fearful of strangers, or has some behavioral issues that make them difficult to handle? Great! Because that's my specialty! Please note this update. I recently discontinued a paying membership on this site. I found that I was replying to far too many fake profiles and sitting requests. I can be reached via gmail. I am CVTPetSitter. I also have a page on face book under Comforts of Home Pet Sitting. Now, a little more about me... I'm a Certified Veterinary Technician with experience in behavior and training. This makes me uniquely qualified to provide care to pets that most other pet sitters are not equipped for. All interactions with your pet are caring, compassionate, low stress and I use ONLY positive, force free methods. I provide loving care for pets who require medical care. That can be medicating (oral, topical, eye meds, injections, etc), diabetic glucose testing, blind, deaf or lame pets, senior pets, wound care, post-surgical care for pets who need at home monitoring or care, and many others. I also work with pets who, let's say, don't do well with strangers. Some are just a little shy. Others are much more fearful, and either get very stressed or, frankly, somewhat aggressive, when a stranger comes in - especially when Mom or Dad isn't home. Whatever the case, I work very hard to gain your pet's trust so they will be comfortable when I visit and eventually even happy to see me! As a veterinary nurse, I am caring, compassionate and treat every pet with the love I have for my own. I offer these services because even folks with special needs pets should have someone to turn to. Nothing is more gratifying than to know that pet parents can rest easy knowing that their pets are safe, well cared for and loved while they're away. Oh, and my services aren't only for pets with special needs. If you happen to have a pet who is happy, energetic, outgoing and perfectly healthy, I can make visits fun and stimulating for them, too! I have lots of enrichment ideas that will make visits fun and keep them from being bored. And if your pet could use some doggy etiquette lessons, we can work on that, too! A little personal information about me. I've lived in the Tampa Bay area since 1979. I attended high school and college in Florida. I have a degree in Music from UF, and and Associates in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. I have been involved with local shelters and rescue organizations. I'm a responder and instructor for the Florida animal disaster response organization, Florida SARC, and am trained to provide emergency animals sheltering. I am also a responder with the Field Investigations Response team with the ASPCA and have participated in several cruelty and dog fighting cases - providing medical care and daily care. I've worked in several local veterinary clinics including the Humane Society of Tampa Bay's Wellness Clinic in Tampa and VCA Noah's Animal hospital. I'm currently working towards certification in behavior and training. I'm a trained Cat Behavior Counselor through Humane Society of the US, and have a special knack for working with kitties. All of this experience means I'm able to work with animals of all types, and in all kinds of situations. Your pets will be in good hands while you're away.
