Personal Profile: Hi there! My name is Melissa, and I'm the owner and operator of Barks and Recreation, a pet care service in London, Ontario. I am available as required for dog walking and pet sitting. Service Abilities: My professional work with pets began in 2006, when I enrolled at Georgian College to become a Veterinary Technician. I graduated with Honours distinction in 2008, also winning a special award in Nutrition Studies. Following graduation, I passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination, becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. I then went on to work at several clinics in London, including the local veterinary emergency hospital. After retiring from full time work in the veterinary industry a few years ago, I missed being able to provide care for people's pets on a daily basis. I love my own furry family dearly and understand how important it is to know that their needs are met when we can't be at home with them. It is my great pleasure to offer other pet parents peace of mind with Barks and Recreation! I’ve maintained my professional interest and education in animal health, and I’m excited to continue caring for animals by providing experienced, reliable services for your pets in the comfort of their own home.
