Hi! My name is Dawn Hebert-Miller. I’m a stay-at-home mom with 4 kids, 4 dogs, 1 cat and a hamster. Oh, and a fantastic hubby! I am a BSN, RN with years of experience working on Medical Surgical Units. As a nurse, I loved caring for and helping people and their families. If there was a problem, I was the one to jump at the chance to find a solution and implement a course of action! This desire to help people, coupled with my passion for animals is the driving force behind Dog Walking by Dawn. My services provide peace-of-mind and comfort to both my clients and their four legged fur babies (pets!). This is a great source of joy for me! My ability to find solutions and offer options to any training or behavioral concerns you may have is yet another resource which is available should the need for it arise. Working as a Veterinary Technician in the past (for both a 24 hour emergency animal hospital and small animal clinic) as well as volunteering at local shelters further broadened my knowledge and experience working with animals. During this time I also provided dog walking and pet sitting services to 11 families and their fur babies for approximately 3 years. The opportunity arose and I seized it! Established an equestrian business which was located in RI, where I taught riding lessons, trained & sold ponies & boarded horses. I sold my business when I decided to return to college & get married. Not being able to be away from the animals for long, I rehabilitated Siberian Huskies with severe aggression and behavioral problems in my home. I placed 3 amazing huskies with loving families as a result of my efforts. I was a foster mom for RIASPCA to a Golden Retriever & her 8 puppies. They lived with me until pups were ready for their forever homes & all were adopted including mom! As you can see, this is where my heart lies....helping families and their pets!
