Pet Sitter in Lakewood, Colorado

My name is Danielle and I am 25 years old. I love all animals, including birds, snakes and spiders etc., but my heart is especially connected to dogs. I have two pups of my own! I have 3 years of experience working at a dog day care and boarding facility in California. In this position I was responsible for maintaining kennels, dog rooms, 3 dog yards and a couple decks. I also performed pack walks (up to 6 a day) with up to 8 dogs, so I am very confident in my ability to handle dogs of various sizes and demeanors. A large part of that position was dog behavior monitoring in a very social environment. Inevitably, there were some doggie arguments so I know how to break up dog fights and defuse stressful situations for dogs. We also had dogs who needed special medication and arrangements so I also have experience with things of that sort. In conjunction with dog care, I am available for all pet care. I have experience caring for birds and cats (which I grew up with), and at my last job gained some experience handling snakes and other reptiles. A little about myself... I am about to end a summer seasonal job at South Platte Park in Littleton, CO where I was an Interpretive Ranger. Along with dogs, I have a passion for helping people make meaningful connections to their environments. I am hoping to continue pursuing this line of work while maintaining my pet care business (which I hope to grow). My boyfriend and I moved to Lakewood, Colorado in April 2017 and are looking around in other areas along the front range to move to.
