After 2 years working at a humane society in NY, I found my passion. Waking up every morning at 7am didn't seem so bad when I knew I was going to the animal shelter. I loved hearing the happy barking dogs and exciting cat meows. I realized there was nothing else I'd rather do. I am currently enrolled in vet tech school and after working at the humane society for 2 years, as soon as I moved to Florida I applied to the humane society in my area. Once I got the job and saw how different the rules and environment was there than at the shelter in NY, I knew I'd be much happier working from home while getting my degree. I learned a lot at the humane society such as how to handle different breeds, how to detect animals emotions by their body language and especially how to make them feel comfortable and loved.
