Bryn Mulligan is a mature young woman who is trustworthy and hard working. She takes her responsibilities seriously whether they be academic or work related. I would trust her unreservedly with my pet and I believe you can as well.

March 22, 2018 Dear Sir/Madam: I am writing to recommend Bryn Mulligan as a very intelligent young woman and active member of our community. Bryn has been intellectually curious, intelligent, increasingly vocal and able to do large amounts of quality work in an increasingly timely way. She is also a talented artist and a very strong mathematician. Bryn has a passion for the environment, which is reflected in many of her service activities, and she plans to pursue that interest in college and beyond. I recommend Bryn highly for both her intellect and her passion for our planet. When Bryn arrived at School One in January of her junior year, she joined my college level Greek Literature class. This class stresses essay writing and analytical thinking, and Bryn has college level essay writing and analytical skills. Bryn’s readings of difficult texts were often very insightful and clearly explained. I should point out that it is the school’s most difficult class, and Bryn chose to take this one over others with far less work. Both her skills and her intellectual curiosity are very strong, and Bryn was one of the class’s main and most valuable participants during discussions. Bryn’s true love is the environment. She began doing volunteer work at the Family Island Research and Education Center when staying with her grandfather in the Bahamas over many years as a youngster, and this is where her passion for the environment was kindled. In tenth and eleventh grades, she had a paying job as a farmhand, caring for animals and helping maintain the farm, and during this period she also did rodeo competitions as well as other equestrian competitions. Over the last two years, Bryn has volunteered regularly at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, and this year she has been interning at Save the Bay, which is Rhode Island’s number one environmental group. She did set design for theater productions for two years at her previous school, worked as an art gallery assistant as well as an artist and spent two years as a camp counselor for elementary schools students with a specialty in art projects. Bryn is very intelligent and talented young woman with a true passion for animals and the environment. Although she had only been here for a few months at the time, she had made a strong enough impression to be awarded the College of the Atlantic Book Award at the end of the year, which was based on both her strong academic work and her enthusiasm for the environment. It is a pleasure to provide Bryn a strong recommendation. Please feel free to contact me if I can assist you in any way at [email protected]. Sincerely, Cary Honig Assistant Head
