Resume Summary: Nice to meet you! My name is Jan. I'm interested in offering my services as a Pet Sitter in McDonough or Locust Grove, Georgia. I promise to be reliable, consistent, loving and careful of all those entrusted to my care. I am generally available with 1 days notice. I can come by mornings and evenings to feed and visit or stay the night(s) if needed. Unfortunately, I have 2 dogs and a cat at home, so additional 4 legged visitors would not be the best option for coming to my home...where my elderly mom also resides. Services: I will take care of pet feeding, providing fun walks (if leash trained,) or games of fetch (if you have a fenced yard), as well as hugs, strokes or just a lap to lay on if that is what they need. I also have personal transportation available if a dog park is close by and you have a socialized pup who likes to visit and sniff with like-minded pups. I have experience as a long time pet owner of fish, cats, dogs, birds and even ferrets! Most dogs have been rescues and cats feral, which means I have had to earn their trust. I am experienced in administering basic meds and I will even clean your kitty litter box or bird-cage if longer term care is needed (on a temporary basis). If you have a proper scooper handy I will even pick up doggie poop on your lawn. I am recently retired from my full time career in human resources where I was fortunate enough to work from home. Before I was in Human Resources, for 22 yrs I ran large daycare centers and was a Teacher for 17 of those years..which in many ways is not much different in activities from feeding and entertaining our 4 legged 'kids'. I am loving but firm with rowdy dogs and cats and I have a special understanding..we will each pretend to not care if attention is paid to us by the other...though secretly we really do care. Birds have always fascinated me and I just love talking to them and I make kissie faces with fish, when no one is looking! I will also feed your lizards but I have to stop at feeding your snake; Snakes are cool, but I love mice too much to be party to live feedings of your reptile...sorry!
