Pet Sitter in Plano, Texas

I'm a retired lady and I've had pets to care for all my life. Currently, I own 2 small dogs and too many cats. One of the dogs is a Chihuahua a neighbor's young child brought to me 2-1/2 yrs ago because her mother no longer wanted him and was going to sell him on Craig's List. I found that terribly sad, so little Pedro became part of my household. One of my cats has Ataxia (no balance) and another has a heart murmur. Neither would be adoptable with those conditions, but they are vital and active as much as they can be. I give them the best life I can. While I've cared for my own pets and friends' pets for many years, I started professionally walking dogs and caring for cats about 4 years ago in order to supplement my SS. I love animals, so this is a good situation for me. I totally enjoy my charges. I have 4 ongoing dog-walking clients, which include a huge but sweet Golden Retriever, an energetic Maltipoo, a shy toy poodle and his terrier-mix "sister," and a sweet, playful boxer-mix. Recently two large dogs (a Rotweiler and a Husky) have been temporarily added to that household, and I just love them both! I previously walked a Bichon and a basset hound, but had to stop when changes in my clients' circumstances required it. I care for a Persian cat whenever her owner goes out of town, and I have too seasonal clients whose cats I care for when they go on vacation. I have no problem cleaning litter boxes or engaging with cats. I also have one client for whom I've fed a rabbit and a fish. I'm reliable, responsible, and caring. I think walks are as much about fun and alleviating lonliness as it is about exercise and potty-breaks. Animals love attention and assurance that they aren't forgotten. I keep that in mind with every pet. I'm looking for additional clients. I'm fine with both large and small dogs, but do prefer dogs that are sweet natured and not aggressive. Cats can be shy or friendly; cats make their own choices. I look forward to providing you peace of mind when you have to be away from your pets.
