Pet Sitter Job in Woodland, Washington

James and I purchased a property in Woodland, and we're in the process of constructing a new guest house and also doing some renovation in the main house, so we're still living (primarily) in Sonoma County CA. We plan to keep the CA property (country property with an orchard) but move to Woodland (establish residence) in September. Sorry, the following is quite long, but this is not a typical pet sitting opportunity! I founded a nonprofit all volunteer cat rescue organization (Feline Rescue of Northern California, Inc.) seven years ago, serving an area with virtually no services for homeless / abandoned cats and kittens. We'll continue to operate this organization, but James and I will be less directly involved. We have two cats of our own and six "long term foster" cats who will be with us for the rest of their lives. All cats are sweet, friendly, healthy and have no bad habits. We also have two "outies" (Tug and Bibi). Bibi is semi-feral, and Tug is a love bug. They have their own secure carport (with a heater and little bunk beds)...cat door, go outside if they want during the day and are in at dinner time. (There's a sweet story behind how they came to bond and be indoor / outdoor.) We plan to have a similar set up for the cats once we move. The Woodland property has a number of outbuldings, so we'll get Tug and Bibi acclimated into their own new space, and the other cats will be indoors. James plans to build an outdoor enclosure for them. We seek a very responsible person to care for the cats when we are gone. We plan to come back to our CA property from time to time, and we have family in San Francisco. I'm guessing the cats will need a minimum of one visit a day to clean litter boxes, change water, put out food and provide some pets and snuggles. (We use extra large litter boxes ...converted clear storage boxes....and World's Best Litter. We feed primarily wet food augmented with kibble.)
