Hello fellow pet parents! My name is Mercedes and I am a responsible and reliable pet sitter serving the East Bay. My experience spans over 15 years and includes your typical household pets (cats, dogs, small rodents, rabbits), exotics (ferrets, snakes, lizards), and farm stock (chickens, horses, pigs). My personal household consists of two dogs and four cats. I have an extensive list of current and previous clients. This list of phone numbers and contact names will be provided upon meet and greet. I have over 10 years of dog training experience, and have successfully handled dogs with severe behavioral issues including aggression, fear, hyperactivity, and anxiety. I have successfully trained and rehabilitated dogs with serious issues, as well as trained many dogs to possess a strong obedience foundation. I have handled a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments; having no qualms about bully breeds or breeds labeled as "aggressive." I have not met a dog that I couldn't figure out a solution to - whether it's aggression, separation anxiety, leash pulling, leash reactiveness, or destructive behaviors, I've collected multiple angles to successfully retrain and rehabilitate dogs to create a more balanced and happy household. - Services - In Home Boarding: I offer in my home boarding to dogs who pass a temperament and training test. There is a charge for each additional dog to be boarded in my home. Dogs must not be destructive or aggressive, and must be friendly towards cats. The exception are dogs boarded for training, which will be explained a little further below. House Sitting: I offer house sitting/in your home pet care for any household within 15 miles of zip code 94565. House sitting rate includes 2 visits my overnight presence per day, or 3 visits per day. Other services are complimentary, and include light chores, light rotation, mail/paper/package retrieval, plant watering, or other duties as discussed and agreed upon. I do not charge additional fees for other pets in the household - unlike other sitters, you're not going to be nickel and dimed for each pet! Save yourself from paying $20 per cat or $60 per dog. Exercise: I offer exercise options 7 days a week. Whether you want your dog(s) to have a short 30 minute break in the middle of the workday or have them hiked for 2 hours in the mountains, I can customize an exercise regimen that fits your dogs needs and your budget. Board & Train: Depending on the problem and the intensity of the issue, board and train options can last one, two, three, or four weeks. While in my home, dogs are crate trained, exercised, exposed to cats and other dogs, obedience trained, and receive assistance to alleviate or eliminate the key issues as discussed. Sample issues that can be worked on include separation anxiety, leash reactiveness, aggression, etc. I can also do in your home private training sessions to address these issues. I firmly believe in assisting other dog owners achieve a calm household where all family members can enjoy the family dog, as it can drastically improve the lives of all involved and decrease risks of the dogs being turned over to new homes or shelters. Due to the nature of aggression, I cannot offer assistance with aggression online, as there can be multiple reasons behind aggression and it requires an accurate in-person assessment. - Fees - In home boarding* - $25/night 1st dog, $15/each additional dog House sitting with 2 midday visits overnight OR 3 visits in a day - $35/night Visits (30-45 minutes) - $15 each visit FT (5 days/week) Exercise Options 30 minute - $70 1 hour - $80 2 hour mountain adventure hike - $100 PT (Less than 5 days/week) Exercise Options 30 minute - $15 each walk 1 hour - $20 each walk 2 hour mountain adventure - $30 each hike Board & Train - $300/weekly or $1000/month In person training session - $20/hour The entire rate is due by the first day of service, and payments are accepted through Chase QuickPay, money order, or cash. Checks are accepted only from long-term, established clients and there are check fees should the check bounce. Receipts are provided for all payments received.
