My partner, Stan, and I have been avid dog lovers our entire lives and have rarely been without dogs as pets of our own. In the course of visiting with local daytime dog walkers and dog owners in the area, we also learned that there was a need for professional in-home dog sitting services, especially during the holidays and when folks need a weekend or longer period to get away. We know from our own past personal experience that making the decision to go on a vacation can weigh heavily on dog owners, who often struggle with the thought of burdening other family members to fill the gap or are guilt ridden over whether to leave their beloved canine at a kennel or other unfamiliar location. “Chez Woof” offers a variety of in-home dog sitting (as well as cat sitting) options to assist you while you are away. Our emphasis is on vacation sitting needs, extended duration or overnight dog sitting and companionship, but we can augment the overnight stay with other services, as you may desire. There is no extra charge for visits and walks on holidays. We are pet sitters and pet sitters work on holidays. It comes with the territory! For overnight stays, I stay in your home for 13 hours, normally from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM. During that time, I will give your pets the same personal attention that they have become accustomed to receive from you. We can also water houseplants, bring in newspapers and mail, or anything else we discuss during the preliminary interview. An additional mid-day walk or potty break can also be scheduled for your dog at a nominal cost. Below is a list of our basic services and rates. For our friends in the Cannon Beach, Astoria, Hood River and other outlying areas, the cost of gas expense to and from your location would also be added to the basic fee. Anything not covered here is certainly negotiable.
