Pet Sitter in Spring, Texas

I'm an
Individual
My love for animals started at a young age. I’ve always had a special bond with animals of all kinds, having raised dogs, cats, a squirrel, a chicken, a lamb, and owned a horse. My animals are part of my family, and as such, are provided the best possible care available. Above all, they are treated with respect, compassion, kindness, and lots of love. You can rest assured knowing your pets are handled with great care. I realize that all animals are unique, and each pet sitting job will be a unique situation. I volunteer at an animal rescue and adoption shelter where I care for kittens and cats that have been found, surrendered, or rescued. My responsibilities as a cat volunteer include cleaning their living environment, providing fresh food and water, monitor post-surgical and injury recovery, and administering medications, which include oral and topical medications and subcutaneous fluids. I also diligently observe and monitor any behavioral, physical, and emotional changes which may be indicative of anything from difficulty adjusting to shelter life and depression to precursors of potential medical problems. Of course, the best part of my job is socializing the cats and kittens, and ensuring they each receive copious amounts of love and attention each and every day. I pride myself in giving them all the best quality of life during their stay at the shelter. Some cats have a difficult time adjusting to shelter life, particularly adult cats that have been surrendered, lost, or separated from their family -- their entire lives have been turned upside down. These little souls are my specialty. At the shelter, I am known as the "cat whisperer" and have been told I have a special gift with cats. I consider this to be the highest compliment, especially coming from my fellow dedicated volunteers. I find these cats, who often display signs of aggression or are withdrawn, are terrified because of their drastic change of life and simply need extra time, patience, love, and understanding. I firmly believe there are no bad cats, just bad situations which inhibit a cat's ability to trust. It is my personal goal for all of our cats to be adopted into happy and loving homes with families who will cherish them as much as I do. Horses also have a special place in my heart. I owned a horse when I was a girl which instilled in me an appreciation for these majestic animals. Along with volunteering at the animal rescue and adoption shelter, I also volunteer at a therapeutic equestrian center where I work as a Horse Leader. At the center, we give children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities the opportunity to ride therapy horses. As a Horse Leader, I have to care for and handle a variety of different horses at the center. This means I have to know how to interact with and lead each horse to ensure our different riders, and our volunteer side walkers, are safe and have a positive experience during each 45-minute class. Through the center, I also get to participate in several annual events, including Top Hands and the Special Olympics. I am truly blessed to be able to volunteer with these organizations and care for these amazing animals. I am also blessed to be able to care for your animals and promise to give them all the love and attention that you give. "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35

I volunteer with Lisa at a no-kill animal shelter. Her understanding, love and compassion for animals helps new arrivals settle in quickly. This allows them to be adopted easily. As a pet sitter, I know Lisa would keep your pet happy and content until you returned home.

I first met Lisa at Abandoned Animal Rescue, where we both volunteer in the cattery. Lisa is known as our "cat whisperer" as she has that special ability to connect with not only with our normal cats and kittens, but also with our more difficult cats. Some cats have a hard time adjusting to life at the shelter and Lisa always takes extra time to make sure they have the extra attention they need. I never met an animal who didn't adore her! Lisa is honest, dependable, responsible, professional, and a true animal lover. She goes out of her way to make sure all animals have the love and care they deserve. I don't trust many people to come to my house to care for my animals, but I trust Lisa implicitly and know with absolute certainty that she will care for and love my animals as much as I do.

Lisa Wear has a big heart for both animals and people. She is dedicated and hard-working. She has cat-sat for me and she always treats my fur-babies as if they were her own. I know if Lisa is taking care of my cats that they will receive the best of care, plus lots of love and snuggles. I highly recommend Lisa Wear.

Lisa has a unique intuition where animals are concerned. She is caring and gentle, but also something more. Lisa has a special connection with animals, and is able to soothe them when they feel stress. She approaches them on their level, in a way that doesn't appear threatening. Lisa is also very dependable. She is comfortable in any situation, giving medicine if needed or just extra TLC.

I know Lisa through her volunteering with Abandoned Animal Rescue. She is a wonderful, caring, reliable person and has a special, gentle way with our cats and kittens. I would highly recommend Lisa for anything.

Lisa is responsible adult who loves animals. She is caring and knowledgeable. I have worked with and gotten to know Lisa through her volunteer work with the cattery at AAR (Abandoned Animal Rescue). We call her the "cat whisperer" as she can turn around difficult kitties with love and attention. Lisa is definitely the way to go choosing a Pet Sitter to care for your pets.
