I have grown up with dogs my whole life, and every household in my extended family, minus my grandmother and the nomadic cousins, have pets. Most of us have dogs, some also have cats and/or other exotic creatures. I have been fortunate to have also gained experience in caring for a wide variety of more exotic creatures because of friends and family. I've been around a prairie dog, micro/midget deer, what was supposed to be a micro pig (grew to be a small but full size pig), and sugar gliders. I have also watched over small mammals: mice, rat, hamster, gerbil, chinchillas. As well as a few birds, many fish, and a few reptiles - snakes and geckos mostly. I have also had a little bit of experience watching after horses, mainly I just did stall clean up, feeding, light grooming, and blanketing at night; as they had someone else available to exercise him. Additionally I foster cats when I can; I currently have two in my care. And I own one dog. I have been fortunate enough to volunteer at some rescue shelters and no shelters. I have experience around abused and neglected dogs and cats that need an extra gentle touch. I have also worked with senior pets and disabled pets. I am able to administer most medicines (I've worked mostly with oral and topical medicines, and did shots once). As for my services I typically do drop in visits and/or walks. The standard time I allot for such tasks is 20-30 minutes depending on needs. I do a basic price including 1-2 pets (i.e. 1 dog or 2 cats), with a small additional cost per pet after.
