Pet Sitter Job in Merritt, British Columbia

Our 4-year old (May 2017) wirehair pointer x lives off-the-grid with his 2 owner's. Rue is very active and is friendly with humans and dogs. He is a submissive. He may try to mount and assert his dominance with another dog. This has never resulted in any kind of altercation whatsoever. He will chase a cat that darts. He likes to be near his human and will want to sleep on the floor beside your bed. He has not learned to be alone overnight. I'm looking for a person who wants to be around him. One who has experience and can walk a large dog. Because he is a "country" dog, he must not be off-leash outside a fenced yard or while being transported to/fro. He has good manners and knows many commands. Sometimes his recall is suspect if he gets on the scent of something particularly interesting. He has spent lots of time at off-leash dog parks, including the small one in Merritt. He is up-to-date on all vaccines, including rabies and kennel cough. He's never had a flea. I, personally, brush his teeth and coat, clip his nails, clean his ears and regularly check his feet and skin. As you can tell, he can be handled anywhere on his body. His home-away-from-home must be clean and of a reasonable size. He gets treats. He does not have toys other than a few balls; however, he does not "fetch". I absolutely adore my Ruedog.
