Hi! My name is Katy Ehret and I am seventeen years old. I have been a volunteer at the Animal Rescue of New Orleans (ARNO) for about two years and hopefully will be for many more. I also plan to attend graduate school for animal behavior and ecology! I am a very responsible person, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the care of animals. I myself have a dog and cat. I am also very familiar and comfortable with the behaviors of aggressive or shy animals. My dog being diagnosed with aggressive behaviors due to fear, my cat being very shy (a previous-stray who came to me with a broken leg), and many of the feral and un-feral animals I have worked with at ARNO have taught me to be gentle, responsible, understanding and most importantly patient. Directions given to me will be taken seriously. I am also available for dog walks (or runs) or even just refilling water and food bowls of any animal! **Animal Rescue of New Orleans (ARNO) has also taught me a lot about basic medical care for animals; for example shots, pills, or even things as basic as ear cleaning. Any animals with medical conditions or extra care I will NOT turn away, but rather will embrace. ***I will gladly work within your price range, and am very understanding when it comes to rough financial situations!
