I've been a dog owner since I was a child. I have never been as passionate about anything the way I am about animals, I took on the responsibility like a job-feeding, walking, cleaning up after and loving. After a wonderful 15 years with my border collie I was blessed with my now 5 year old chihuahua bulldog mix and best friend Finnegan. During my freshman year of college I was on a camping trip, while out in the canoe we saw something bobbing in the lake. As we got closer we saw it was a dog struggling to stay above water, without hesitation I jumped in the lake and swam him back to shore. Exhausted, hungry and scared he kept his distance despite our efforts to comfort him. After about 20 minutes I kneeled down on the ground just sitting looking at him and finally he walked over and started licking my face. It was that moment that really solidified the bond we share with these animals and soon after I became the go to pet sitter for my friends and I enjoy everything about it. I love the carelessness, energy, love and loyalty that dogs possess. I promote a healthy and fit lifestyle and love the outdoors and I enjoy sharing that with my own dog as well as those I look after.
