My experience: I've cared for dogs of all sizes up to well over 100 lbs., 1 with separation anxiety, rescues that have been abused; cats, including feeding feral cats; & friendly & shy pets alike with no problem, given oral medications & insulin injections to dogs & cats, & cared for a Retriever & her 3-wk. old puppies for a private breeder, handling & weighing them daily. I've worked in 10-12 counties in central & eastern NC for numerous regular clients. With help from my husband, worked on a goat farm in Granville County a few times, feeding many goats, including 3 that had to be bottle-fed, 3 rescue horses, 4 dogs (that help with the goats), & 2 cats. In the 80's, thru being a member of the local Humane Society, did volunteer work at the local animal shelter on weekends when they are not otherwise open to allow more chances for adoption. I'm a retired (very early after 33 1/2 yrs. with the local phone co.), responsible, non-smoking female, with reliable transportation that truly loves animals & love what I do. I've had pets my entire life & my husband & I have 2 elderly cats left, but lost 3 of them in just over the last yr. & our last dog April, 2020. I'll gladly provide excellent references - I have all 5-star ratings on Care...(where I'm also a member), but some of my clients are not members of that site. I always meet the pet(s) & pet owner(s) beforehand, but my husband usually comes with me for safety reasons, since I've had a few strange communications on the Care....site.

Judy is not afraid of a challenge, as sitting for my farm multiple times has proven. She sits for my 4 dogs (Australian Shepherd, Australian Shepherd/terrier mix and 2 Great Pyrenees), 2 cats and 43 goats, including bottle feeding an orphaned kid, and does a fantastic job! Normally the cats are indoor/outdoor, but when I am not there to watch them, I prefer they be inside to keep them safe. Judy goes the extra mile and lets the cats out while she is there tending to the other animals, then hunts them down – which can be quite a challenge as they have a 2 acre yard and 15 acres of pasture to disappear into – and ensures they are back in the house before she leaves, so they have a semblance of their normal life while I’m gone. When a goat got sick while I was gone Judy alerted me and provided enough detail that I was able to determine who was sick & the treatment. When I added 2 horses to the mix I was afraid she would say enough is enough, find somebody else to care for your farm, but not Judy - she said she’d love to! And she was most gracious when one of the horses got over-excited at feeding time and stepped on her toes. Ouch!! After every visit she texts how things are going & how everyone is doing. It’s nice to have the updates & I’m much more comfortable being away knowing everyone back home is being exceptionally well cared for by a very conscientious, responsible person like Judy.

Judy Satterwhite was hired by me to stay for 4 days (overnights as well) to care for my pets. I have 2 indoor cats, 2 dogs, and 5 feral cats. One dog is very anxious, especially around strangers in the house. Judy did a great job with him and the others. I came home to calm pets and a clean house! I recommend Judy and would hire her again in the future.

Judy Dickerson is my sister and is a very knowledgeable pet sitter that is dedicated to the care and love of all animals. She has had many pets over many years, and I would recommend her highly.
