We are seeking an applicant who loves animals, has experience working with dogs and cats, and attains satisfaction out of a job well done. A qualified applicant who can problem-solve, manage their time effectively, prioritize, work well within a team environment, and takes the initiative to help others and look for opportunities for improvement. We also require someone who is goal-orientated, punctual, dependable, and available to work weekends and holidays. Experience with AVImark is a plus. Important and Essential Duties: Answer telephones in a polite/courteous manner Handle Cash/Cash Register Check forms for accuracy and content Promote company products Exemplify exceptional customer service at all times Maintain sanitation of kennel and routine maintenance Classify pets according to established guidelines for health or other reasons Administer medication to pets Perform related duties and responsibilities as required Knowledge Skills and Abilities to: Practice general principles of animal care Use methods and procedures of kennel cleaning and maintenance Understand and implement safe work practices Operate cleaning equipment and other tools used in maintenance of kennel Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Basic knowledge of Microsoft software Requirements: Experience - Experience in the care and handling of dogs and cats Education - Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade Schedule -- Flexible, includes weekends and holidays Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Exposure to weather and temperature swings, noise, chemicals, and animals with wide-ranging temperaments
