I have been paid between $15 and $20 per day for house/cat sits and $30 - $35 per day for house/dog sits/walks. I am a mature responsible pet lover ... having grown up with cats, and since 2004 (my first dog sit), have become totally enamoured with dogs ...all varieties and ages .... love the walks these canine friends provide and the gratitude. You are guaranteed a clean home and healthy garden as well as heppy healthy pets upon your return home. Having been house/pet sitting on Pender Island consistently since December 2011, I am planning to return to the mainland next April or so. Housekeeping is definitely part of house and pet sitting. Having left a desk job in 2010, I came to housekeeping thru an apartment building in West End of Vancouver shortly thereafter ... cleaning appliances, washing floors, vacuuming, dusting etc in common areas as well as 'move-in/move-outs' for apartments. Also tidied up externals of building (sweeping, etc) ... I am very good at helping people declutter and can provide references for services rendered in this area. Before shifting my 'operation' to Pender Island in December 2011, I did monthly cleaning or so for a client in the West End. I have been looking after cats and dogs alike in their own homes since December 2011. This service includes keeping house and garden in clean and healthy condition. Hope this is helpful ... I am booked fairly solidly here on Pender until end of March 2013, with a few weeks here and there which I would like to fill ... in preparation for a return to the mainland after next March. Recently enjoyed a 2-cat/house sit East Vancouver .... clients were very pleased to return to a clean house, thriving garden and happy cats. Because they are 1st time clients, I have not asked them for an official reference ... other than the happy email I received from them, indicating they would cheerfully 'use' me again, and pass my name/coordinates along to others.
