Pet Sitter Job in Leander, Texas

I am looking for a sitter who can provide an occasional "in home" bird sitting situation for our African Grey parrot. Parrots are highly social animals. They require human presence and positive interaction. Our parrot is 24 yrs old, sweet, sanguine and well socialized. She is a calm, quiet, peaceful bird, and requires a calm, relatively quiet, peaceful in-home environment. Experience with birds is a big plus. She takes oral medication twice per day, in the morning and evening. She knows the routine, and takes her meds easily, with no drama or struggle. Her sitter must be comfortable getting her out of her cage, giving her the meds, and putting her back into her cage. We provide her cage, favorite foods, toys, etc. She talks, sings, chirps, whistles, and can reproduce most every sound she hears. She does NOT scream or use foul language. Neither should her sitter.
