Pet Sitter in Guelph, Ontario

I am a student at University of Guelph, studying towards my Bachelor of Arts in a double major in Studio Arts and Psychology. My end goal is to end up having a Masters in Art Therapy and to work in the field with children. I love animals! I used to want to go to school for Veterinary studies however with my experience, I took more to taking care of animals with their needs and making sure they were happy. I was too sympathetic when they were in pain. Either way, I always learn when it comes to animals, whether it be about them or myself. I have a real passion in taking care of them and I have a real passion in helping other people so I feel like this will drive and motivate me to help you. I have had experience in a Vet Clinic during high school as a co-op. This was where I learned that my feelings and emotions were very in tuned with animals. This does not make me scared about them but if anything, gave me a bigger drive to care for them. I volunteered and worked at a pet store that specializes in animal care, especially with reptiles, amphibians, birds, rodents and fish. They sold products for cats and dogs but there was a resident cat in the store that sometimes needed caring. In the store, I maintained an healthy environment for the animals, including tidying up their cages/tanks. I have also prepared their diets and accommodated for any special needs that they required. I am also an avid pet parent. I have had cats, dogs, fish, snakes and lizards and have volunteered taking care of my friends' hamsters and ferrets. I currently own a Savannah cat and a Australian Shepherd. Both species are high demand, active animals so I know how to care from a low-maintenance comfort dog to a very active, energetic dog. I have also owned a bearded dragon, a ball python, several fish and assorted lizards in the past. I have been surrounded by animals all my life, included cats and dogs.
