I am a rescue mom to a German Shepherd, Border collie mix and Mini Dachshund, as well as furry feline friends, including a Himalayan/Persian. Also, rabbits, guinea pigs and mice have been part of my household. I have many years experience as a veterinary assistant enjoying helping owners care for their companion animals in all life stages and utilizing low stress handling with positive reinforcement.
Approved Veterinary Assistant (A.V.A.), designation awarded by the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA). Completed required course work and examination. Designation status is renewed every 2 years after submission of required continuing education hours.
Successfully completed the Purdue University DOGS! Course. This intensive course covered the principles and techniques of behavior modification.
