Hey pet parents! My name is Liz. I'm a young woman living in Hamilton looking to expand my pet care clientele. Before I moved from Halifax, NS, I owned my own small animal rescue and frequently boarded dogs, cats and small exotics. I have plenty of experience in the area of ownership, as I have successfully owned kept a wide variety of species. I have personal experience in the husbandry and care of the following exotics: - Guinea pigs - Rabbits - Hamsters - Rats - Hedgehogs - Chameleons - Leopard geckos - Ball pythons - Frogs - Freshwater fish - Some birds I am also up to date on various facets of dog psychology, and am comfortable working with and enforcing the ethical training regiment of dogs of any age, breed and temperament. I specialize in the behavioural issues plaguing small, rescue toy breeds, including those with a neglectful or abusive past. I have worked closely with many owners and their companions as we work to unravel and resolve their traumatic pasts. I am comfortable with all breeds regardless of classification under Breed Specific Legislation and it is not necessary that you reveal the breed of your dog to me. I am happy to work with dogs who have a bite history as long as they are healthy, vaccinated and/or there is a muzzle available depending on the size of the individual. I am able to upkeep the treatment of health issues and dispense medication as well as work around different ability levels of each dog I care for. List of services & price ranges PET SITTING: Dogs: Prices range and cannot be confirmed until there is a consultation, however they typically range from 10-30 dollars daily dependant on the animal's needs. Travel will also be taken into consideration. Dogs of a fitting temperament and health may possibly stay at my house. Cats: Usually range from $10-25 a day depending on their needs and temperament. Must be at your house. Exotics: Typically bringing your exotic to my house is easier unless you have a large number of them, or you have a sensitive animal that should not be moved. Price can be altered to accommodate numerous, well cared for collections. I am comfortable feeding live food when need be. Daily, starts at $10 a day but very low maintenance pets can be given weekly or monthly rates. * Please note that I cannot take any illegal species in my home. * Also note that in general, my prices reflect the level of care that I typically would give if the animal was my own. I will not reduce my price to reflect the level of care you believe to be appropriate. Any animals found in neglectful circumstances will be reported. Before any stay, I require a plan of action to be formed in the case of any medical emergency as it is against my personal policy to use my own finances in emergency situations. * I am not a groomer however simple grooming tasks may be added to the bill if needed including exotic baths and nail trims. (Yes, I am able to trim your hedgehog's nails.) PET CARE & BEHAVIOUR CONSULTATIONS Whatever the situation, I am able to provide a consultation to the best of my ability to help your animal become comfortable with their environment. Whether this is a new addition to the family or an old friend going through a rough time, I am here to try and help. This includes dogs, cats and exotics. I am also quite knowledgeable in the socialization of exotics, including integrating singles into groups, or advising or proper handling and socialization techniques between human and animal.
