Pet Sitter in Mayfield Heights, Ohio

Although I am only 15, I have a surprising amount of experience with pets. I have two dogs myself, one is almost 9 years old so she is an old lady and the other is just 14 weeks old so in this case, I am experienced with all ages from puppies to youngsters to adults to elderly. I have volunteered at 2 animal shelters for quite some time now and I have gotten to do a lot. At one of the animal shelters, they only let staff members handle the animals so I don't learn much there but at the other one I volunteer at, I get to take the dogs outside and play with them in a fenced in area which is really fun and exciting to me because dogs are my favorite animal, I have helped wash down and clean the kennels the dogs are in, I of course washed dishes, did laundry, put away laundry, organized things that were messy, I refilled cat food and water bowls when they were low or empty, I gave the office dogs food and water everyday, I changed the beds in the offices when they were dirty so the office dogs and/or office cats would have a fresh, clean, soft bed to sleep on, and I introduced potential adopters to the animals, telling them whatever information I knew about the animals. I have learned how to clip a dog's nails (I won't do it if they get aggressive or scared), I learned to grab cats by the scruffs of their necks when giving them medication because it helps calm them down sometimes, I learned how to give dogs medical baths (dogs that have infections, flea/tick problems usually get these done), I learned that there are dogs grouped by ages and weight and that is how we determine how much food they should be getting, I learned that puppies shouldn't get spayed/neutered until 6 months or older, and lastly, I learned a lot of responsibility. I am very mature and respectful than most kids my age so even though I am quite young, I would take care of anyone's pet the way I take care of mine and I would treat them with equal importance! I believe every dog deserves love and care no matter what and I would love to be that substitute for you while you are gone! Also, I don't have any allergies to any pets and I tend not to be afraid of pets unless they are extremely aggressive. I would treat any animal the same, with love and care! So don't judge me on my age, but my love for animals, my maturity, my respectfulness, and my ability to care for animals like they deserve!
