Mindofdog(dot)com I'm 25 years old and have enjoyed the company of dogs all my life. I wasn't allowed to own a dog as a child, but played with every dog that I got in contact with. I have three dogs of my own who are very loving. They were all street dogs. Two of them my boyfriend and I literally found wandering the streets and the third was a puppy that we adopted from the shelter. I have trained the oldest two dogs as mobility assistance dogs. They can retrieve items for me. They know how to brace for someone that needs extra support. I am a believer that dogs are happiest when they have a job. I saw it with my own dogs. My first dog is very calm, but when she doesn't get enough exercise, she is very apt to run away. The second is a terrier mix also known as terror to some people. When we got her, she was very hyper and destructive. As I taught her more tasks, she became more and more loyal to me and a lot calmer. The third dog was the hardest to train, but is proof that you can really mold a dog's temperament to be much calmer. Kyle and I personally have our own way of taking care of dogs, but would be more than happy to listen to your preferences of how to care for your dog. We will walk your dog for at least an hour every day because we think getting your dog's energy out in a structured walk is very important for the well being of a dog. Hope to hear from you soon!
