Hey there, my name is Kate! Animals, especially dogs, have always been a part of my life, from volunteering as a dog walker and socializer at different animals shelters to the opportunity to have several dogs of my own. I've worked at a boarding kennel and have experience as a dog bather and doing basic grooming. All of my previous work experience has been caring for and working with either dogs or horses, so I know my way around animals pretty well! One thing I've really noticed in my years of working with animals is the importance of exercise and human interaction. Dogs that get to burn off steam on a regular basis and don't feel isolated throughout the day are definitely healthier physically and mentally. Understandably, work schedules and other commitments can make it tough for owners to provide their dogs with physical activity and company all the time. I'm available during the day Monday through Thursday and Saturdays to stop by your home and give your pet some TLC. I can take your dog for walks or provide a brief potty break or play time visit. Do you have a dog that needs to be crated when left alone because of destructive behaviors? This is a great solution! I enjoy working with dogs of any age, breed, or activity level (actually, I really enjoy high energy dogs!) and I don't mind working with dogs that have behavioral problems. I genuinely enjoy being able to interact with dogs and seeing them healthy and happy. I'm also available to stay at your house and care for your pets for an extended period of time while you're on vacation. I've worked quite a bit with horses and other livestock too so if you need a farm sitter or someone to help with feeding, horse care or other barn chores I can do that as well!
