Pet Sitter Job in Nanaimo, British Columbia

We are looking for an experienced, loving and caring pet sitter to stay in our home and care for our pets while we are away. We have three dogs - a 10 year old large mixed breed, a 9 year old Boxer and a Boxer puppy. We also have a medium size flock of chickens. We live in a rural area on a lakefront property about 15 minutes from downtown Nanaimo. Our dogs are homebodies. They don't need to go for walks as they get most of their exercise playing together in the house. They all get along well with each other and can be left alone for 4-5 hours without any problems. They are most happy when they can just hang with their humans. They love to cuddle and they are very affectionate and they sleep on the bed each night, so this needs to continue when we are away. Our chickens are egg layers, so there's fresh eggs every day! They need to have their nesting boxes cleaned up a bit each morning and they need fresh water daily and their feeders filled as needed. Their roosting area needs cleaning every second day, but it only take about 15 minutes or so. We have an automated chicken door that lets them out into their run in the morning and closes after they go into the coop for the night, but we ask that the coop is checked each night to ensure all are safely inside after the door closes.
