Pet Sitter in Orinda, California

I'm a loving, energetic, animal enthusiast. I absolutely adore them, from dogs to cats to horses to lizards. I've been around animals all my life and grew a strong passion for their well being. I strongly feel that our pets are our family, and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. For many years I pet sat, until I had to take a break to finish high school. However now that I've graduated, my schedule is completely open and very flexible and what better to do than fill that time with what I love. My experience includes many different kinds of dogs, both lap dogs and gentle giants. Lots of cats, both the friendly ones and the more shy ones, and horses. I used to volunteer when I was younger to read to elderly and handicap dogs at the Orinda library, and more recently have volunteered to care and comfort lame horses (horses that can't be ridden anymore..). I grew up with two cats, two lizards, a fish, and my best friends dogs, who I pretty much considered my dogs as well. I also worked a seasonal job as a dog groomer where I helped bathe dogs, blow dry them off and get them ready for their trims. It may be kind of weird, but I also just grew up spending a lot of time trying to befriend every deer, bird, raccoon, or animal I saw. Even a furry little caterpillar I kept for a few days before my parents explained how that's mean... I just really love animals. When I'm working my time belongs to your pet, so anything I'm asked to do will get done thoroughly and lovingly. That means anything from just once a day dog walking, visiting the house for feed and potty breaks, or visiting several times a day for everything in between. Dogs seem to love to play with me, perhaps that's because I'm so energetic and enthusiastic, we really wear each other out. Its great exercise for both parties! If its ok with pet-parent and pet, I can even bring them to a local dog park or trails for new sniffing grounds. Meeting your furry family member and being able to care for them would be my pleasure.
