Aloha. I am a quiet, sober, 65-year-old, college professor. I am happy to be your pet's companion and caretaker. I have cared for animals all my life. I do not smoke. Nor drink, since I am allergic to alcohol. Ever since I was a kid I have connected with animals as if they were talking to me- even the shy or difficult characters. I have found a calm voice and manner is key. My only vices are swimming, surfing and snorkeling. I grew up on Oahu in the Kaimuki area. I graduated from UH-Manoa. I was a reporter in Hawaii for 13 years then moved away to earn my Ph.D. I want to stay near the ocean in Hawaii, where I grew up. My first choice is the East side of Oahu. But also interested in N. Shore and neighbor islands. I can provide solid references. I rise at dawn to surf so you don't have to worry about late night parties. And I will likely only leave your home for day trips under four hours at a time, if you have pets with separation issues.
