As someone who has always had a pet (mostly dogs) I understand the love families hold for their pets. I also realize the importance of the "getting to know each other" stage when meeting a new animal and can very easily comply to any restrictions and set routines for a pet. 2010-201... Elderly male cat (Beau) - For 6 months straight; then for ~2 months - I lived in the house - Fed him, changed the kitty-litter, let him out (only in the day time for brief periods of time) and spent time in his relaxing room with him Mid-2010 2 cats male (Walter) & female (Abby) - A few weeks - I lived in the house - Fed them, changed the litter, played with them, and slept in the same room with them - Very friendly sweet cats - owner was impressed that Walter ever let me see him let alone come up and let me hold him as her own mother did not even believe he existed 2010 2 dogs older Toy Poodle (Willow) & younger Wheaton Terrier (Finnigan) - ~1 month - Lived in house (cared for house plants) - Let them out before bed and in the morning - Morning feeding - Household's grandmother spent a lot of time with the dogs including walking them and feeding them at night - Both dogs had separate vitamin/medicine to be added to specific meals (I did this for morning meals)
