Although I have a total reverence for all forms of life, I just love dogs, cats, horses and birds the most, and in that order! My love for dogs has only grown stronger as I have aged, I have learned a great deal about them through friends who train dogs, watching various dog expert shows, and just generally observing the behaviours and the owners. I find dogs tend to like me and gravitate towards me, even the nervous ones. I used to be a very nervous and scared teenager and young adult, so I can empathise. A little more about me, I am a vegetarian and a committed regular meditator. I live alone in an apartment where I cannot have pets, so any opportunity I get to spend time with them is a blessing! One day I hope to be able to afford my own, a rescue dog and a cat who like each other hopefully! I have walked and spent time with dogs of friends and families throughout my life. I have had cats since I was a child. until my 30's. Now I'm in my 40's, I moved country and I am not allowed pets in my apartment. I always love the opportunity to spend time with furry friends when possible. I cried throughout the documentary (rescue me), all I want is my own dog but until I am sure about which country I am going to live in, it will have to wait. I was afraid of dogs until I was 18, at which time my friend's then black lab (since died), transformed my fear into pure love forever. I've been grateful to Jet ever since! I have grown increasingly fond of birds in the last 2 years, they seem to have taking a liking to me (unless it's my imagination)?
